Governor Kemp Lifts Evacuation Order

As of 9:30 a.m. this morning Governor Kemp has lifted the mandatory evacuation order put in place on September 1st, 2019 for the areas of Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, McIntosh, Glynn, and Camden counties east of Interstate-95 in Southeast Georgia. A copy of that Executive Order may be found (HERE).

Local conditions will dictate access within the effected counties, and will be determined by the local County Emergency Management Agencies. A list of contact information for individual County Emergency Management Agencies can be found (HERE).

The State of Emergency has not been lifted and will continue to exist in the effected 21 county area until 11:59 p.m. on September 9th, 2019 in case additional resources are needed, or until further notice.

Thank you all for your patience and participation during our first hurricane event of the 2019 season. Given the weather patterns in the Atlantic we are sure that Dorian will not be our last hurricane activation this year.

If you feel we can improve any aspect of how we communicate with you during such an event, or you have any questions or feedback at all, we want to hear from you!
