Gov. Kemp Expands State of Emergency

Early this morning Governor Kemp expanded the area covered by the State of Emergency declared on August 29, 2019, to exist in the following additional nine Georgia counties: Appling, Bacon, Bulloch, Clinch, Echols, Evans, Screven, Tattnall, and Ware. A copy of the expanded executive order may be found (HERE).

This brings the total number of counties under a State of Emergency to twenty-one. A copy of the original emergency declaration may be found (HERE).

The mandatory evacuation order remains in effect for Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, McIntosh, Glynn, and Camden counties east of Interstate-95. As well, westerly contraflow on Interstate-16 remains in effect until further notice. A copy that executive order may be found (HERE).
